- I wrote about my wonderful Sunday dinner at Meckley’s Flavor Fruit Farm here. This is the dress I wore, & I give it 10 stars & it was perfect for the occasion. I do recommend wearing flat comfy shoes at Meckley’s though because the grounds are a bit uneven. There is a dinner on 7/9 so hop on NOW to get your ticket.
2. Chris & I both had some PTO together (shocker). I got some projects & writing done at home, especially on my volunteer work at Dahlia Hill & the American Diary Project. I am glad I was able to & it was quite relaxing. We did spend an afternoon at the Wilderness Trails Zoo in Birch Run. I loved seeing the animals! We also spent the weekend at Leland Lodge for their food & wine fest + a wine club member’s party at Verterra winery.
3. I made my scrapbook from my March trip to Florida.
4. I began a new job on 6/19 at a credit union. It’s been a whirlwind but in the best way. It’s been a welcome change getting in the swing of working in an office again 5 days a week after 2 years of WFH. We have a very relaxed office & I am having a blast being back in the finance space & helping members.
5. My cousin-in-law is due in August! We don’t know if the baby is a boy or a girl! We all can’t wait for this arrival! My sister & I helped her sister with the games & gift exchange at the shower.
6. After so much anticipation, I was able to attend my bestie Amber Marcella‘s wedding in Iowa! It was a fast weekend but such a wonderful time together. Amber asked me to exercise my thrifting skills & I thrifted 100+ vintage fancy champagne flutes for the toast. It was a beautiful touch to the toasts! Amber asked all the guests to be her bridal party & wear colors from her selected color palette. My dress was pre-screened by her & is a bridesmaid’s dress I wore for a wedding I was in in 2017. Recycle!
7. Over the holiday weekend I stopped into thrift stores for the 1st time in a while. I got tired after searching for the flutes (haha!) but I was so glad to get some Rae Dunn & other goodies.
8. Thirty-One Gifts is having a huge sale to celebrate its 20th birthday. I ordered a ton for myself & 2023 gifts. Great deals here! The pictured items here are just a few of my favorites. Especially the “All About the Benjamin’s” wallet; my fave wallet of all time.
